will meet for the second time 10/1. Seem to still be accepting applications. Our Student Life Chair, David Haines is on the committee and will be attending despite conflict w/ work committments. Thank you, David!
Nominations for slate of officers to be voted on at Oct Annual Mtg.: the following consented to placed on the ballot:
David Haines as Vice Pres candidate,
Paul Meyer/Wenda Hunter as candidate couple sharing Student life/enrich Chair candidacy,
Bruce Hancock as Pub Rel Chair candidate
We are still in need of Presidential candidate as Alice Chartrand would prefer to hand that role over to a parent of a first or second year student. Treasurer candidate, preferably w/ accounting software familiarity/interest in grants is still needed .
Several potential candidates discussed (Terrie and Jane to persue).
Terrie Frisbie will fill Past President role (non-elected steering committee post, see bylaws). Several parents seem to growing into non-elected role of bus-greeting regional representatives.
PAC mtg agenda (to follow this mtg) discussed.
Promoting and encouraging bus meetings: these are a resounding
and joyous success.
will look into getting banners for parking lot gatherings.
Year Book - still many left from last year. Solutions
discussed re how to sell these and presell upcoming ones. See PAC mtg.

Treasurer's Report, September 20, 2004
The MSSM Parent's Group established a checking account at Camden National
Bank in December 2003.
Current balance in that account is $271.03, and I have one membership dues
check for $25.00 yet to deposit, which will bring our total to $296.03.
To date we have written four checks. The first three of these totaled $560
and covered expenses for the Mystery Weekend at MSSM in March 2004. The
fourth check covered a $60 gift to MSSM's Chef Tom on the occasion of his
renewal of wedding vows.
It's worth noting that Camden National Bank has levied, to date,
approximately $52 in ordinary monthly service charges on our account.
Several MSSMPG members have made contributions to the MSSM Foundation with
the request that those contributions be held for MSSMPG initiatives, and the
Foundation agreed in late 2003 to do this, and to issue us quarterly
statements. To date, however, I have received no accounting from the
Foundation as to the balance of Foundation funds earmarked for the Parents
Group. I will follow up on this.
Respectfully submitted,
Jonathan Eaton
